Rules & Regulations
1. Enter for a chance to win one (1) prize - the components and value of which is determined by Grape Growers of Ontario doing business as Grape Growers of Ontario (“the Releasee”).
2. There will be a total of one (1) winner chosen. Odds of winning are based on the number of eligible entries.
3. No purchase necessary in order to participate.
4. Must be 19 years or older to participate. Winner must answer a skill-testing question; skill testing question must be answered unassisted by mechanical means.
5. Contest entrants must be a legal resident of the province of Ontario in order to enter. Winner must be a legal resident of the province of Ontario.
6. The contest period begins Thursday September 10, 2026 at 9:01 Eastern Daylight Time and closes Wednesday November 18th, 2026 at 23:59 Eastern Standard Time. Winner will be selected at random. The Releasee will contact the contest winner via the email address given at time of contest entry submission. Winners will have one (1) week to claim the prize. Entries must be received prior to the end of the applicable contest period to be eligible for entry.
7. Mail-in entry: To enter the contest by means of this entry mechanism, mail a letter during the applicable entry period (as noted above) with your name, address, day and evening telephone numbers, email address, age, and contest name to the attention of the contest you are entering at the Website Sponsor’s address (as specified on the Website Sponsor’s website). Mail-in entries must be received within the applicable entry period to be valid. Limit of one entry per postage-stamped envelope.
8. The winner (“the Entrant”) will be required to sign a release document in a form acceptable to the Releasee releasing their directors, officers, employees and all associated agents from all liability of any kind in connection with the contest or occurring as a result of the prize being awarded.
a) By entering a contest, each entrant releases and holds the Releasee harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrants or any other person, including personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, participation in the contest, any breach of the contest rules, or in any prize-related activity. Each entrant agrees to fully indemnify the Releasee from any and all claims by third parties relating to the contest, without limitation.
b) To be eligible to win, the Entrant must not be an employee or a member of the immediate family of or domiciled with an employee of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (“LCBO”), an employee of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (“AGCO”), an employee of the Ontario Wine Appellation Authority (“OWAA”) or of any licensees authorized by AGCO, of the Releasee or of the independent contest organization.
c) The LCBO, AGCO, OWAA and ROOTS are not connected to this contest in any manner whatsoever and are not liable in anyway for any matter related to this contest.
d) Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash, except at the sole discretion of the Releasee. Any unused portion of a prize will be forfeited and have no cash value. The Releasee reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize (or any portion thereof) cannot be awarded for any reason.
e) The Releasee shall not assume any liability for lost, damaged or misdirected prizes.
f) The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
g) By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and decisions of the independent contest organization which are final.
